yah, the sale sucks. Most 09 stuff on backcounrty are like 30-40% off at best. REI.com had ~50% off on a lot of 09 hardgoods including burton custom X and stuff. It's pretty disappointing.
I hope the new snow site will be good tho. Still think it's super lame that WM stopped selling snow goods BEFORE the new site went up.

do you really think WM/Backcountry/dogfunk is "hooking us up with deals" just to be nice to us? my guess would be that they are making a profit by selling stuff to us, but that's just my guess.
also, backcountry is all about customer feedbacks. they are one of the first people to introduce customer feedbacks for all their products. So if we don't like what they are selling, it's actually in their interest to listen.
it's just business man. none of this stuff is personal.

www.rei.com is having a 30-50% off winter clearance sale. 50% off 09 Custom X and malolo to name a few. check out their deals while WM/backcountry/dogfunk is twiddling their thumbs trying to make a new snowboard site. cheers!

great news on the new snow site! but why do you have to stop selling snow gear on WM when the new site isn't even up yet?? what's the marketing strategy there?

i see what u're saying but the other sites (Tramdock and SAC) are still offering pretty decent stuff. Also, why would you need to hold the snow stuff on WM for a week in advance of the new site? I still think they're holding stuff for Dog Funk's Winter clearance sale. If so, when is it gonna happen? cuz WM is so stupid right now.

my guess is that Backcountry.com is about to have a huge winter clearance sale and they want to save the good stuff to entice buyers. All the other sites are having big sales on their 09 stuff (Sierrasnowboard, evogear, etc). but a new site dedicated to snowboard gear would be cool too. Either way, we win!
